For whatever reason dad and I were driving to church together in the little red fire truck one Sunday, when I was in high school. We wanted to listen to a certain song, and the tape was on the floor. Dad knew which one it was so he reached down to grab it- and when he looked back the road was gone and we were in the fair grounds in field of very deep snow! some how we got out of it just fine and were able to get back on the road without any problems. But when we got back on the road we were facing the wrong way. Figuring we didn't need to push our luck we just kept going that way. We made it around the corner just fine but were greeted with a bunch of snow drifts. Of course it was a challenge and a game to see if we could stay in our own lane and not try to go around the drifts. You can guess this didn't work! eventually a snow drift was tougher then we were and grabbed a hold of the little red fire truck and spun it around. When we stopped spinning we were clear of the snow drift and still on the road!! We were, however, facing the opposite way then what we were going! figuring it would be easier to just go the way the snow had pointed us, then try to turn around in the mess we had just made in the road, we started heading in the opposite direction again. and drove right on passed some crazy mans tracks out in the middle of the fair grounds! :) not sure if we made it on time or not, but we did make it to church, and we had a fun story to tell about it when we got there! :)
Thanks for the fun memories dad! I love you!
Tami
